The name TW Gaze is synonymous with the buying and selling of property, be that land, house, commercial premises or antiques and chattels. The well-known firm of agents has been based in Diss since 1857, sewn firmly into the fabric of the community and rooted securely in the East Anglian landscape. Now the firm, which has offices in Diss and Wymondham, has made a significant property purchase of its own.
With the acquisition of the freehold interest in the Auction Rooms’ site on Roydon Road, Diss, which completed over the summer, current Directors of the business are determined the future of the brand will be long-lasting and exciting. Director Elizabeth Talbot said, “The status of the Auction Rooms has grown significantly over the last 20 years and it is not only a very important part of TW Gaze, but also of the local area. My fellow-directors and I have long-held plans and aspirations for the development of the Auction Rooms and the scope, diversity and quality of services we can offer. We are a significant employer in the town and attract many hundreds of people to Diss each week. We wanted to underpin our aspirations for the future and site-ownership will enable us to move forward with confidence.”
The current Auction Rooms, which regularly feature on various BBC television programmes, have evolved, grown and refined over the years, and plans have now been submitted for the next stage of development, including a brand new auction room, restaurant and gallery space.
