Advice for Vendors
We pride ourselves in our prompt payments. These are made by bank transfer within a couple of days of the sale. Details of the results are e-mailed on the evening of the sale. For consignments divided between different sales, payment may follow sale of the total consignment.
When Considering Selling
Whether your selling a treasured possession, a specialist collection or your complete house contents, our experienced staff will be pleased to give you sound presale valuation advice at the Auction Rooms or, where appropriate, your house.
Our salerooms are open to receive goods by arrangement please ring to book an appointment. The salerooms do fill quickly.

Charges for Vendors
Standard Entry Fee: £3.60 (Inc. VAT) (sold or unsold)
Select Entry Fee: £5.00 (Inc. VAT) (sold or unsold)
Selling commission per lot: 15% (Inc. VAT) on the first £10,000, 6% (Inc. VAT) thereafter.
Unsold reserve charge: 1.8% (Inc. VAT) of the reserve value
Our Collection Service
Full or part house clearances are provided by hauliers with care and courtesy of the highest order. The collection service is available at £70 per hour with additional fees applicable for more specialist collections (Pianos collected charged at time plus an additional £35). Due Diligence Policy
The Diss Auction Rooms work alongside the Police and operate a Due Diligence Policy to help prevent the sale of stolen goods through auction and thus hopefully deter initial theft. We ask vendors to sign a declaration of ownership and we make payment by cheque to their home address
