We have a number of remote bidding options for those unable to attend the sale in person. All bids are only accepted on the condition that the potential bidder has satisfied themselves as to what they are bidding on.
Any bids entrusted to the Auctioneers will be faithfully executed on behalf of the buyer. If purchased for you the price will be at as low a level as other bidding or reserve price allows. In the situation of identical bids, the auctioneers may, at their discretion on your behalf, exceed your commission by one bid to secure the lot for you. Please also remember that a Buyer's Premium will be charged on the hammer price at 15% (VAT is charged on the premium). Collection is required upon notification of your success, click for a full list of auction bidding conditions.
Please refer to our Advice For Buyers section for payment and further advice.
We do not offer condition reports. We are pleased to provide e-mail images of items with a guide price over £50, time permitting, for your assessment. If required we will give an honest opinion as to the damage or restoration which is immediately apparent. We can give no guarantee on authenticity, completeness or concealed restoration. We strongly recommend your personal viewing of the item. If purchase is subsequently effected - viewed or not viewed - full liability as to the price, condition, authenticity and suitability is that of the purchaser.
We are pleased to recommend successful bidders to Mailboxes Etc. Upon notification of your purchases, please settle the account with our auction office, then contact Mailboxes direct to obtain an estimate of costs on 01245 262 527.
Where goods are intended for shipping, it is the buyers responsibility to ascertain if any specific licences are required. If the item is to be immediately exported outside the E.U. the buyer will need to notify us at the point of purchase and provided approved shipping documents to benefit from current V.A.T. rules.
