The Diss Auction Rooms hold a weekly Friday auction featuring approximately 2000 lots, together with more specialist sales on Saturdays. For further details on sale content, start times and viewing times please click here.
Sales conducted by TWGaze LLP are carried out on instruction by the vendor and lots are therefore catalogued upon information supplied by them. Whilst reasonable care is taken by us to asses all lots and to produce catalogue descriptions that are accurate and reliable, bids will only be accepted where the buyer, or agent acting on their behalf, has inspected the lot under consideration. Remote bidders may request e-mail photographs to assist their decision making. Although In some cases an instance of damage or restoration is noted, generally imperfections are not stated. Explanations of more specific cataloguing practices can be found in our full Conditions of Auction.
Guide prices are in no way definitive and they only exist to help buyers gauge likely values. Where items are offered for sale subject to a reserve price, it is our policy to reflect the reserve price at a level no higher than the lower end of the “guide price”.
There are many ways to be bid in one of our sales depending on your availability to make the sale. All potential bidders require registration where some form of personal identification will be required to confirm your address details. If you are a regular bidder at the auction rooms you may apply for a regular buyer’s number.
If you are able to attend the sale then you can bid in person by obtaining your personal number from reception. Ensure that you have the attention of the auctioneer during bidding and upon purchasing either show, or advise the auctioneer of your buyer’s number.
Potential buyers unable to attend the sale can get involved a number of ways; Written Bid, Internet Bid, Telephone Bid. For more information on each of these methods please see the Remote Bidding page.
To receive lot alerts when our catalogues are uploaded to our website please register here, where you can view catalogues and place bids online should you wish.
